Measurements
Splat Labs includes professional measurement tools with sub-centimeter accuracy.
Measurement Types
Distance Measurement
Measure point-to-point distances:
- Select the Distance tool from the toolbar
- Click your first point
- Click your second point
- The distance appears on screen
Area Measurement
Calculate square footage and area:
- Select the Area tool
- Click to place points around the perimeter
- Close the shape by clicking the first point
- Area is calculated automatically
Height Measurement
Measure vertical heights:
- Select the Height tool
- Click the bottom point
- Click the top point
- Vertical distance is displayed
Accuracy

Accuracy depends on capture quality and conditions. Always verify critical measurements with traditional methods.
Saving Measurements
All measurements are automatically saved to your project:
- Measurements appear in the Measurements panel
- Click any measurement to highlight it in 3D
- Export measurements as CSV or PDF
Units
Change measurement units in settings:
- Metric (meters, centimeters)
- Imperial (feet, inches)
- Mixed (feet and inches)
